Lauren Child
I am such a fan of the illustrator Lauren Child and her creations Charlie and Lola and Clarice Bean to name a few. Her interest in interior design really shows in the background of the drawing. I eat my cereal every morning watching an episode of Charlie and Lola and it really brightens up the start to the day.

Kitchen Chic!
Self
I have admired so many blogs over the past two years, and this is is what has inspired me to start my own. Who knows if anyone will every read it, but I wanted it to be something true in heart and lovely. Lately I have wanted to stir a change. I have not been happy not feeling or being the best I can be. So one day when staring out of a window during a long work afternoon I remebered the Hungry Caterpillar. He was in transition and became all he wanted and hoped to be. So this is at heart what my blog is about. The journey to self improvement. Always learning, healthy attitude to life and food, lovely inspirational things such as music, fashion and art.
So here it begin.

To Kill a Mockingbird
Tonight we watched one of the most lovely and interesting documentaries on Harper Lee and her one and only book, To Kill a Mockingbird. The film maker travelled to her deep south home town to begin a journey of discovery. This is a book I read when I was doung my GCSE's and it has stayed very close to me throughout the years. I gave it to my beloved boy last christmas. Atticus Finch, in my opinion, is one of the most defining men and fathers in Literature. You rock so much Nell Harper Lee.

Today was the longest day ever, I knew it was my last day at work for a few days and it d-r-a-g-g-e-d time. I left the office feeling totally drained. Hey ho, home now, having had a drink, french windows open and my beloved boy digging up potatoes from the sacks is making the world a much better place.
Anyway to much chirpier visual things. I found these photos via bling. I am so sorry but I am not aware of the copyright, so if it's you, tell me and I will add. The lovely Sophie Dahl and the very touching wedding photo of Mary Mcartney. Simple, tasteful, elegant
